No. The former prison at 37 Rakowiecka Street no longer serves as a prison or remand centre. Since 2016, it has been home to the Museum of Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People’s Republic – a place of remembrance dedicated to the victims of communist repression and the history of the Polish anti-communist resistance after World War.

The Museum is still under development. Renovation and restoration works are ongoing, and the permanent exhibition is currently being prepared.
